Being an actor could have been your dream since you were a toddler or since last week. Either way, you are tired of waiting and you want to become an actor as soon as possible. Though this may not be the conventional way to go about it, there are a few things you could do to get yourself noticed and possibly boost yourself to stardom.



The first thing you could consider is joining a reality show. There are tons of reality shows on our TV screens now. All you have to do is decide what kind of reality show would interest you. When you audition for the reality show, you have to ensure that yours was the most memorable. Most of these network executives are looking for people who would increase the ratings. So do not be afraid to bring out all the flamboyance. Once you have been accepted as a contestant, play your heart out to the cameras. Depending on your actions, the audience could love or hate you. Bottom line is making sure you have made an impression to the public! Once you are back to the real world, you will now have a recognizable face. This will help you immensely in furthering your acting career.



The second thing you could try to do to get your acting career on the fast track is to date a celebrity. Everyone knows that when they hang around a celebrity, the fame rubs off on them too; the media becomes interested in you and before you know it, pictures of you are splashed across this and that magazine. Since you do not know how long you could be able to date that celebrity, you should ride on that fame as soon as possible. Start looking for acting gigs. Ask your celebrity partner to introduce you to the big shots in the industry. Do not consider this as if you are "using" the celebrity. All’s fair in love and war right? In addition, at this point, your career is on the line.



Take advantage of websites that allow you to upload videos. Make numerous videos of yourself doing all kinds of things. The weirder or crazier, the better! You have to make a large number of them because you will never know which one will hit. Then, keep your fingers crossed that one of the videos goes viral. If you do not want to sit twiddling your thumbs, you could post links to the videos everywhere online. This shameless plugging could just make one of them go viral. And if one of them does go viral, you could become an overnight internet sensation! Keep in mind that internet sensations do not last long though. You would have to strike while the iron is hot and try to ride that fame straight to your first acting gig.



With all this, you will have to remember that once you become a famous actor, there is a price to pay. You will never have a private life. It is up to you to decide it is worth it.
